2025 SCHOOL TRUSTEE BY-ELECTION
NOTICE OF NOMINATION
PUBLIC NOTICE is given to the electors of School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) that the by-election voting day is Saturday, June 7, 2025. Candidates shall be nominated in writing by two duly qualified electors of School District No. 27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin). The nomination documents shall be in the form prescribed in the Local Government Act and shall state the name and residence of the person nominated in such a manner as to sufficiently identify such candidate.
Nominations for the office of: One (1) Trustee for the following Electoral Area:
Area 4, Cariboo Regional District Area F, and part of D that
lies within the boundaries of School District No. 27
For the remainder of the 4-year term (ending November 2026),
will be received by the Chief Election Officer or a designated person, as follows:

Nomination documents are available for pick up at the School District No. 27 Board Office,
350 North 2nd Avenue, Williams Lake, BC or online at www.sd27.bc.ca
At the time of filing the nomination documents, the candidate shall also file with the Chief Election Officer or a person designated by the Chief Election Officer a written disclosure, as required under the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.
The Chief Election Officer must receive the original nomination packages by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Qualifications for Office
A person is qualified to be nominated, elected, and to hold office as a School Trustee if he/she meets the following criteria:
- Canadian citizen;
- 18 years of age or older on voting day (June 7, 2025);
- Resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months immediately before the day nomination papers are filed;
- Not disqualified under the School Act or any other enactment from being nominated for, being elected to or holding office as a trustee, or be otherwise disqualified by law.
