Course Activation
Before a student can be successfully enrolled in GROW, they must show sufficient evidence of active participation to qualify. What this means is that students must have:
- A clear course plan on file for each course (this is completed with the student in consultation with their teacher at the time of registration). This course plan must link to the course's curriculum learning standards and/or outcomes, required resources and assessment strategies. This course plan is the evidence supporting the requirement that assigned work is meeting the curriculum learning standards and/or outcomes.
- A current course selection or enrolment form must list the courses reported for funding that meet provincial BC graduation requirements (this is completed with the student in consultation with their teacher at the time of registration).
- Substantive student course activity or activities must be submitted by the student to the teacher (this is provided to the student and must be done before they are officially registered in GROW):
- The activity or activities represents a minimum of five percent of the course’s learning activities.
- The activity or activities must be evaluated by the teacher.
Upon successful completion of the assigned course work, the student will be enrolled in GROW in their courses.
