During the spring break of March 2024, our students, staff, family members, and alumni explored the enchanting wonders of Japan's most iconic destinations, while embarking on a journey filled with excitement and cultural immersion.

Their adventure began amidst the bustling streets of Tokyo, where they delved into the tranquility of Rikugi-en Garden and savored traditional tea at Fukiage Chaya (Tea House). They experienced firsthand the dynamic energy of a Japanese school, marveled at the majestic Imperial Palace, and paid homage to tradition at the historic Meiji Shrine. Venturing into the vibrant Harajuku District, they embraced the eclectic fusion of modernity and tradition.

Next, the journey led them to the scenic landscapes of Hakone, where they cruised along the serene waters of Lake Ashi and ascended the breathtaking heights of Mount Komagatake, soaking in panoramic views of nature's splendor. Their path then meandered to Takayama, where they stood in awe before the formidable Matsumoto Castle, a testament to Japan's rich heritage and architectural prowess.

Continuing their exploration, they ventured to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan, where they beheld the shimmering golden façade of Kinkaku-ji temple and wandered through the ethereal bamboo groves of the Arashiyama Area, enveloped in a sense of tranquility and wonder. Their journey culminated in Osaka, where they immersed themselves in the vibrant energy of the Dontonbori district, indulging in culinary delights and experiencing the pulsating rhythm of city life.

Throughout their travels, bonds were forged, memories were made, and hearts were filled with the spirit of adventure. An extraordinary journey that left an indelible mark on all who participated, the spring break of March 2024 will be remembered as an exhilarating exploration of Japan's rich culture, history, and natural beauty.
